YSNEAKERS X ASTELL&ASPR : GIRLS’ GENERATION Relay Interview COMING SOON!
Favorite tourist spots you've been to in LA? and favorite food places?
the getty center, california science center & the natural history museum in exposition park, the huntington library, LACMA, santa monica pier, griffith observatory (it’s BEAUTIFUL at night), third street promenade is pretty but it’s $$$ so i wouldn’t recommend shopping there lol, la brea tar pits, the art district
food: chinchikurin in little tokyo has good okonomiyaki, hakata ikkousha ramen, curry house, din tai fung (pricey but SO DELICIOUS), pasta e pasta by allegro, brasil kiss, grand central market has a lot of good food, shinsengumi hakata ramen, toe bang cafe, tofu house
dessert: honeymee, holy roly ice cream, anko, 21°C below snowflake, bumsan ice cream, sul & beans, bottega louie, cottonhi, afters ice cream
& boba: roasting water (mostly in oc but if you have the chance they have the coolest bottles), tan-cha, snow monster, 7 leaves, boba guys, gong cha, kung fu tea, it’s boba time
Have you been to Bumsan Milk Bar? I'm going to KCON LA for Sunday and on the Saturday before I was gonna stop by LACMA and then go to Bumsan and a seolleongtang place nearby (and maybe the SMTown museum) and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for stuff at Bumsan or in that area.
i’ve been to bumsan milk bar! it’s pretty good, but a little out of the way if i’m being honest. i heard the new cereal stuff is good but i havent had a chance to try it. LACMA is a great spot for photos, esp the urban lights installation outside! though i recommend going a lot later, like way after midnight, if you want those Aesthetic instagram shots because there’s always a lot of people there (i went last week during anime expo and it was Busy at 11pm.) the smtown museum in la is still “under construction” whatever that means (it’s been years since sm bought the building but all they really do is change the billboard outside lmao) so if you want photos of just that then i say go by all means but there’s really nothing else there lol.
another tip for kcon is to get your albums NOT at kcon lol. i recommend the koreatown galleria since prices are comparable to albums online+shipping except you get it in person
generally speaking though, i guess it depends on what you wanna do in la? i’m more of a museums & food kinda person and idk much about the “kpop hot spots” OTL
